Dawn Littlepage began playing The Great Highland Bagpipes in 1996. Her Scottish heritage gave her a natural love for Celtic music, and one day, watching a pipe band on parade she saw her first female bagpiper. That was all it took to launch her into years of piping.
Dawn was a member of The Green Mountain Highlanders Pipe Band in Thetford, Vermont, and later joined The Catamount Pipe Band, in Montpelier, Vermont. She expanded her repertoire with the Scottish Smallpipes made by Hamish and Fin Moore in 2004. Her tutors have included Frances Adams Rich, Donald Lindsay, Iain Mac Harg, and Hamish and Fin Moore, as well as the many guest instructors at Hamish and Fin's Vermont Bellowspipe school in Richmond, Vermont.
Dawn is actively involved in running the premier North American bellowspipe convention, The Pipers' Gathering, as a member of their board of directors.
